Happy Valentine’s Day! “To love well is the task in all meaningful relationships,” writes bell hooks. In everything we do, Phil’s love radiates—no matter what type of project we're working on, the special ingredient is always love. On this Valentine’s Day, and everyday for that matter, remember the purpose of love: it inspires, comforts, and unites. Let’s continue channeling that fuzzy feeling to fuel us into meaningful partnerships that can help change the world.

Practical tips

How to tell your organization’s story

Select your topic

Start by deciding what is important for people to know and feel about your organization. What are the tangible problems your team is currently working to solve and how is your approach unique and interesting?

Know your audience

Think about who you are speaking to and how they will understand your message and relate to your cause. Keep your language simple and straightforward, and make sure your content is adapted to your different messaging platforms and related audience segments.

Build compelling content

Provide context to help people visualize your story. Describe moments of impact through the eyes of your different stakeholders, who are the characters of your story. Include specific details that will elicit strong emotions and reactions.

This is how we do it

Helping you share your story

Producing high quality, strategized content is one of the best tactics to deepen your organization’s relationship with stakeholders. When people stay to read more about you on your website, social media page, or newsletter, a priceless connection is being woven. Repeatedly showcasing your ability to tell the complete, compelling story of your nonprofit leads supporters to hold on for the ride and see your progress. Classically, the greatest stories have a beginning that reels you in, a middle that keeps you hooked, and an end that satisfies or uplifts.

Captivating content creation grows from expert strategizing. And at Phil, we tailor the strategies around your specific needs. We know exactly what it takes to get there. We will support you in creating concrete, measurable objectives so you get closer to the goals you are working towards with every piece of published content. We don’t bite! Pick up the phone today to chat with us about how we can make strategy, content, and creativity come together to keep your stakeholders engaged.
