Do you want it done right now, or done right? Too often fundraising campaigns are planned in haste, but a fundraising strategy is a key investment: it will build and uplift all other aspects of your organization at the same time. Consider baking digital tools into your strategy. Online monthly giving revenue grew by 40% this past year as recurring donation options have become increasingly popular with online donors.

Digital fundraising hacks

Run a text-to-donate campaign

Mobile fundraising is super easy, for both the donor and your not-for-profit team. Drive engagement in no time by partnering with a text messaging provider, promoting your keyword and code on social media/website/etc., and sending out compelling text messages. Read more about text-to-donate.

Use automation

Automate authentic, heartfelt thank you messages to be sent after a first gift, and take advantage of data automation to personalize each message with the donor’s name and their gift size. You can also automate a welcome series each time a prospective donor signs up for your newsletter, to pique interest and appreciation for your mission.

Segment your email list

Email is one of the best ways to reach donors. Don’t send your emails out into the abyss; instead, segment donors based on recency, frequency, and amount of gift, among other factors. Read more about donor segmentation.
